Getting Started with CDN in 3 Steps
Getting Started with CDN in 3 Steps
Enabling CDN
Enable CDN before using it.
Log in to the CDN console and enable CDN as prompted.
Adding a Domain Name
To use CDN to accelerate your business, add the domain name of your site to CDN and use your site as the origin server.
Adding a CNAME Record on Huawei Cloud DNS
The system automatically assigns a CNAME record to the domain name you added. Add this record to the record sets of your DNS provider, so that all requests to your domain name will be redirected to CDN PoPs.
Best Practices
Best Practices
Accelerating OBS Resources
Cache resources to CDN PoPs, so that users can obtain the latest resources from the nearest CDN PoP.
Accelerating Resources Protected by WAF
If your websites have high requirements on security and acceleration, associate Huawei Cloud CDN with WAF to accelerate websites and defend against web attacks.
Accelerating ECS Resources
Huawei Cloud CDN can accelerate websites to deliver a better user experience. Use CDN to accelerate access to your ECSs to improve user experience at low costs.
Setting the Maximum Cache Age
CDN caches origin content on globally distributed PoPs so that users can obtain the content from nearby PoPs. Set the TTL for caching origin content on PoPs as required.
Improving the Cache Hit Ratio
If the CDN cache hit ratio is low, the pressure on the origin server is high and the static resource access efficiency is low. Select an optimization policy based on the cause of the low cache hit ratio to improve the cache hit ratio.
Obtaining Real IP Addresses of Users
After a website is connected to CDN for acceleration, IP addresses obtained by the origin server from IP address headers are not the real IP addresses of users. Configure your web server to obtain the real IP addresses of users.
