[Mexico, Mexico City, October 28] The Huawei Cloud Mexico Summit, themed "Accelerating Intelligence, Pioneering Smart México," was successfully held. During the event, Huawei Cloud showcased its latest advancements in AI cloud services and AI agents. Looking ahead, Huawei Cloud plans to boost its investment in Mexico, focusing on long-term strategic development and infrastructure to foster local innovation.

Huawei has been active in Mexico for over two decades, dedicated to strengthening the country's digital infrastructure. Huawei Cloud launched Mexico's first 3-AZ data center, providing 110 highly available cloud services with latency as low as 25 ms. In the six years since its debut, there have been zero major incidents. Mexico has amassed substantial data and initial momentum for digital transformation, setting the stage for widespread AI adoption. You Yang, CEO of Huawei Cloud Mexico, outlined an innovation strategy focused on AI-native solutions, designed to create a complete technical ecosystem from digital infrastructure to intelligent applications, tailored for Mexico.

At the summit, Huawei Cloud unveiled its AI for Industries portfolio of products and services. The AI Token Service efficiently outputs AI computation results through rapid inference. Versatile offers an advanced enterprise-grade AI agent development environment. The AI&C Center of Excellence (COE) supports the next phase of digital transformation by providing strategic, organizational, and procedural guidance.

At the event, Huawei Cloud launched the Mexico AI Pioneer Partner program to collaborate with local partners. The initiative aims to foster a robust AI innovation ecosystem in Mexico, support the development of joint solutions, and offer affordable cloud services to small and medium-sized businesses.

Cloud and AI for Good: Empowering Talent and Protecting Ecosystems

Huawei Cloud stays true to its "Cloud for Good" philosophy, leveraging cloud and AI technologies to benefit communities, the environment, and sustainable development.

Huawei has partnered with numerous Mexican universities through its ICT Academy and Seeds for the Future programs, nurturing thousands of local digital professionals. Additionally, Huawei has set up an AI lab with the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), providing a top-tier platform for digital talent development. Students from Tamaulipas created Kid-IA, an AI-driven educational and therapeutic application for autism patients. The app won the "SOMOS EL CAMBIO" award, highlighting the innovative potential of local talent.

Huawei collaborates with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) to enhance jaguar conservation in the Dzilam State Reserve. By deploying acoustic monitoring devices and leveraging AI models, the system efficiently identifies biological sounds and images within the reserve. As of March 2025, the system has discovered nine wild jaguars and identified 147 species in the reserve. The second phase of the project will focus on gathering data about jaguar population distribution, using data analysis to gain scientific insights, and aiding in the development and refinement of conservation strategies, ultimately building a jaguar ecological corridor.
